In the summer of 2019, I completed the National Citizenship programme for teenagers and graduated with a certificate signed by the prime minister. I went away for a week with a group of new people, and we did team activities at an activity centre, including abseiling, hiking and camping. On our return, we spent three weeks organising a community project to raise money for a good cause in our area. We held a fun day and did a sponsored walk and car wash. This raised £1000 for the Thomas Thayer Foundation (a local charity for disabled children).

In this course I learned how variables and constants, logging and commenting, strings, booleans and logical operators, how to work with collections, arrays and array methods, sets and tuples, working with conditional statements and loops, work with functions, classes in Swift, enumerations and handling errors work in Swift.
